Belshazzar. Part 2

Well hello there! How are you this fine day? Are you well in the Lord? How is the Corona pandemic taking you? Are you tired of staying at home like me? Well, all shall be well. This too shall pass. Prophecies have to be fulfilled. So let us continue to seek God, place our faith and trust in Him, Who is our sustainer. Faithful and absolutely trustworthy is He who called us to salvation (1st Thessalonians 5:24).

Today I will continue with Belshazzar. It is a continuation from the last post. If you never got to read, here is the link address; https://myjesusisamazing.wordpress.com/2020/05/12/belshazzar-part-one/

So I left off in verse 8 of the Book of Daniel chapter 5, where Belshazzar tried to look for answers for the writing on the wall through soothsayers and astrologers together with Chaldeans. He approached a divine problem physically and with the wrong avenues.

So, upon hearing how the King was bothered through his words, the Queen approached him. Belshazzar had been so troubled at this point. She gave a solution that would see the king get his hopes up on his quest to find answers.

The queen spoke, saying, “O king, live forever! Do not let your thoughts trouble you, nor let your countenance change. 11 There is a man in your kingdom in whom is the Spirit of the Holy God. And in the days of your father, light and understanding and wisdom, like the wisdom of the gods, were found in him; and King Nebuchadnezzar your father—your father the king—made him chief of the magicians, astrologers, Chaldeans, and soothsayers. 12 Inasmuch as an excellent spirit, knowledge, understanding, interpreting dreams, solving riddles, and explaining enigmas were found in this Daniel, whom the king named Belteshazzar, now let Daniel be called, and he will give the interpretation.”

Daniel 5:10b-12 NKJV

What amazed me in this passage, was the fact that they knew about the Holy God. They knew about the God of Daniel. That He was the true God, but refused to worship Him and Him only. They even acknowledged the tributes that Daniel had and compared it to be like that of gods. They were amazed at the gifts that Daniel had. I was amused at this and I wanted to know why they chose to live in rebellion despite knowing about the true God. Not being Israelites by birth cannot be the reason as to why. In the Bible, there are many people who abandoned idolatry and worshipped the God of Israel on realising that He was the only true God. The Best example is Belshazzar’s own father, King Nebuchadnezzar.

Daniel was summoned and he appeared before the King, ready to give an interpretation. But first, ha had something to say;

O king, the Most High God gave Nebuchadnezzar your father a kingdom and majesty, glory and honor. 19 And because of the majesty that He gave him, all peoples, nations, and languages trembled and feared before him. Whomever he wished, he executed; whomever he wished, he kept alive; whomever he wished, he set up; and whomever he wished, he put down. 20 But when his heart was lifted up, and his spirit was hardened in pride, he was deposed from his kingly throne, and they took his glory from him21 Then he was driven from the sons of men, his heart was made like the beasts, and his dwelling was with the wild donkeys. They fed him with grass like oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven, till he knew that the Most High God rules in the kingdom of men, and appoints over it whomever He chooses.

22 “But you his son, Belshazzar, have not humbled your heart, although you knew all this. 23 And you have lifted yourself up against the Lord of heaven. They have brought the vessels of His house before you, and you and your lords, your wives and your concubines, have drunk wine from them. And you have praised the gods of silver and gold, bronze and iron, wood and stone, which do not see or hear or know; and the God who holds your breath in His hand and owns all your ways, you have not glorified.

Daniel 5:18-23 NKJV

Belshazzar knew the truth, but turned his heart away, due to pride. He knew of the marvelous wonders of the Lord Most High. He even saw his father being turned into a beast and feeding on grass for seven good years. He grew up seeing it all, but chose to harden his spirit with pride. Pride that came from loving indulgence and all that the world can offer. The wine of worldly pleasures was too sweet to abandon. Instead he chose the path of worldliness over the revelation of God Almighty. He chose rebellion. He chose to be as proud as a peacock.

How many currently know God, have even come across his wonders and have even encountered Him, but they have still chosen worldly pleasures over Him? How many have heard about Jesus and His sacrifice on the cross, but have refused to humble themselves? But instead, they have chosen to harden their spirits with pride?

“Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.

Matthew 7:13-14 NKJV

It is a sad reality. Many people have hardened themselves with pride in their spirits. The walk of salvation includes denying oneself, taking up the cross daily and following Jesus (Luke 9:23). One has to die to self in order to gain Christ. It is about crucifying the flesh and its appetites, daily (Galatians 5:24). It is about disciplining oneself and bringing the sinful body/fleshly appetites under subjection (1st Corinthians 9:27). God knew that it was going to be hard to do that. Narrow is the gate to life. Out of His compassion, He gave us a Helper. The Holy Spirit (John 14:16), so that we are without excuse. But the world has rejected Him, because He is the Spirit of truth. Many do not want to be told the truth. Many hate facing the truth! This is because the things of God to a natural/carnal man is foolishness (1st Corinthians 2:14). One who is led only by the five senses cannot perceive the Holy Spirit because, He is not a physical being. He is the Spirit of God. Hence the world has not received Him because, it neither sees Him nor knows Him (John 14:17).

I had a vision today, in the wee hours of the morning. I saw myself preaching to two young people. A man and a woman. They were on their deathbed. I tried convincing them to accept Jesus as their Lord and Saviour, before they died. But full of pride, they refused while in their deathbed. They finally breathed their last and I looked through them and saw of another vision of them literally falling into hell. I tried going after them. The grip of fear is what welcomes people to hell! A LOT OF FEAR!!! Oh! The agony of souls crying for help and the hideous evil spirits tormenting people! I called on the name of Jesus and they were able to come back to their bodies. But hell came after them and they died again and the demons dragged them back to hell. I could see the fear that the two young people had. I cried the name of Jesus on top of my voice while in hell and nothing happened. I then saw a deceiving spirit surrounding the young man, pretending to want to help him. It even held his hand and pretended to care and pray for him! I got very angry! I chased it away and it left. I sat next to him. I tried talking to him. He had so much fear and confusion that he could not hear me. But still, he did not repent. Even in the midst of the anguish, he did not accept Jesus. He just sat there lost and confused and could not look me in the eyes. Then I woke up! The vision was so real that I had to rebuke fear that I was now experiencing physically, from the place I was in the vision, which was hell.

Church, the Lord is speaking! The Lion of Judah is roaring!!! Many are on their way to hell!!! Even on their deathbeds, they are refusing to accept Jesus Christ. Even in despair, they are refusing to repent. We also ought to rebuke the spirit of deception that is leaving many confused and unable to hear the word of God. The two young people represent this generation. They have ears but they seem not to hear. They have eyes, but cannot see! Many have heard the gospel but have hardened their hearts, due to pride and shameful desires which have led to rebellion. They have loved darkness and the deeds that come with it, more than the light! When the two young people were on their deathbed in the vision, they were full of pride. Pride was the reason as to why, they were refusing to give their lives to Jesus. The same pride that saw Belshazzar fall from glory. The interpretation of the writing on the wall saw his kingdom torn and his reign came to a sudden end (Daniel 5:25-30).

Jesus is about to come back soon as He is in tears asking us to live a Holy life. Without Holiness, we cannot see God! (Hebrews 12:14). As I write this I feel the heaviness in the Lord’s heart which is bringing me to tears!!! He is grieving over this generation. If you are reading this and you have not given your life to Jesus, perhaps this is your last chance. Please please, do not harden your heart in rebellion as the Israelites did (Hebrews 3:8-15). Please, I ask you with all humility to please choose to be humble and accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour. The agony in Hell is real! Pain, despair and fear is the covering being offered in hell. Oh! The screaming souls!!! THERE IS NO MUCH TIME LEFT!!! The hideous creatures are real and they are tormenting people and dragging people to hell. Am not writing this to scare anybody, but time has come to face facts and reality. HELL IS REAL!!! Jesus spoke of the reality of hell while He walked on earth. It is a matter of life and death. Please I beg you, accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour. If you are feeling a heavy conviction in your spirit, that is the Holy Spirit. The Kingdom of God has come near to you (Luke 10:19). Do not allow the devil cower you out of giving your life to Jesus with fear and intimidation. He also tried to intimidate me, but I chose Jesus. Please, repeat the following prayer;

Dear Lord Jesus. I come before your presence. I acknowledge that am a sinner, in need of a Saviour (confess your sins). I ask you to forgive me of my sins. Wash me, cleanse me with your blood and make me white as snow. I receive you as my Lord and Saviour. Now that I am born again, I receive the Baptism of the Holy Spirit and Fire. Thank you Jesus, for being Lord and Saviour of my life. In Jesus name I pray. Amen!

Hallelujah! Welcome to the Kingdom of God!

Now that you have accepted Christ, your life will never be the same again. Your Spirit has been renewed and sealed with the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 1:13). Physically, you look the same. But, on the inside, you are a brand new person. You will no longer feel empty or have a void in your heart. Your spirit is brand new! This is because, you have now gained eternal life. You will live forever and ever in the loving presence of God. Hell is no longer your destination. You will never regret this decision. You now have a new friend and a Helper. His name is the Holy Spirit of God. He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). Trust in the Lord at all times, even in difficulties, for He is Faithful and absolutely trustworthy (1st Thessalonians 5:24). He will come through for you. Jesus overcame (John 16:33) and that makes you an Overcomer! If you would like to reach out, please email me at: myjesusisamazing247@gmail.com
